

Ice Introduction
One of my favorite occasions about ice fishing is bringing people new to the sport out for their first trips. Many have been interested in a while or they moved here from a warmer climate and have a genuine interest in wanting to see what it's all about. Nearly everyone I've brought out has a good time and brings their first fish through the ice at some point. Share the Knowledge
As anglers, I believe that it is vital for us to share our knowledge and our passion with not only our kids and families, but also with the general public at large. Helping to inspire others to take up the sport is truly one of the best things we can do for the outdoors. I enjoy teaching what I've learned and experienced while on the water and I'm always hopeful that what I share will help someone else be more successful on it. I especially enjoy the questions that get asked


A Little Pre-Seminar Fishing
With my annual ice fishing seminar this past Thursday happening in the evening, I decided a morning pre-seminar ice trip was in order to get in the "proper" mindset for the evening's event. I decided it was time for a trip to one of my favorite lakes and set off for Stockade with visions of big bluegills and pike in my head. Ice Rod Prep Time
Now that the ice season is in full bloom, it is time to finally finish prepping all my equipment for the year. Typically, I only have a few rods connected to reels and spooled up to start the season since I feel that until the season really gets going, I don't to have everything ready to go.
