Kids MEA Crappies

With the kids off for MEA weekend we decided to go fishing and invite grandpa along.

We headed to the lake in search of a promising walleye bite. We were using 1/4 oz Fireball jigs and a minnow and bouncing them on the bottom between 12-20 ft.

Slowly we trolled around but with no success.

I guess the walleyes weren't hungry today, but the crappies were. We caught them right down on the bottom.

Anchor locked for few minutes and then we would move a few feet and repeat. By adjusting the presentation a little, we were able to catch more crappies.
